SPRING CLASSES
MONDAYS 4:30-6PM • Intro to Making Movies
Six Week Class $60.00 | Ages 12-17March 22nd- April 26th
Making a movie is a fun and rewarding process that allows students to use all their creative energy. Each week students are allowed to create a short film from scratch. It is a collaborative effort and it allows students to participate in each aspect of film making such as writing, directing, cinematography, and acting. Students will get to make a number of different films from drama to comedy to documentaries. This is a great class for anyone who has an interest in films and wants to know how they are made. The last class will be a screening of all the short films and students will get a DVD reel of their work.

Six Week Class $60.00 | Ages 18+March 22nd- April 26th; Class Performance on April 30th
In this class, students will study the basic concepts of improvisation through fun exercises. Students will learn and practice short-form games in preparation for their final performance in the Black Lab.

TUESDAYS 4:30-6PM • Acting
Six Week Class $60.00 | Ages 10-17March 23rd- April 27th
This class will focus on the fundamentals of acting including building relationships and characters. Rather than work from scripts, students will devise their own short performances based on themes or characters that are important to them that will be performed at the end of 6 week class. No previous experience necessary, only a desire to play and have fun.

Six Week Class $60.00 | Ages 18+March 23rd - April 27th; Class Performance on April 30th
The class will focus on scene work including object work, enviroment and becoming comfortable within performance. The class will end with the introduction and performance of long form improv.

WEDNESDAYS 4:30-6PM • Basic Improvisational techniques: Improv level 1 for Kids
Six Week Class $60.00 | Ages 11-17March 24th- April 28th; Class Performance on April 30th
This class will teach you basic improvisational techniques. Learn how to think on your feet, become more confident onstage and just have some fun. Work with other kids who are learning the craft right along with you. The class will end with short-form teams being formed and a chance to perform at Blackout Theatre’s Black Lab, Albuquerque’s only improv laboratory that showcases new teams.

FRIDAYS 1:00-2:30 PM Advanced Drama for Homeschoolers
Nine Week Class $110.00Ages 12-17 March 26th- May 21st
Advanced drama is a 90 minute session for students who have already had drama experience, either in a Cardboard Playhouse Production, Box Class or other drama program and are ready for the next challenge! Actors will learn a variety of skills all with a strong performance focus. The lessons work directly on improving acting technique, and encourage spontaneity and fun through improvisation and short performances. They will also gain important tools to help with auditions, and working in a rehearsal process. The class will conclude with a performance for family and friends.

SUMMER CAMPS
COMEDY THEATRE CAMP
All Comedy Camps are from 9:00 am- 3:00 pmCamp 1 - June 7th -11th | Ages 12-15
Camp 2 - June 21th -25th | Ages 8-12
Camp 3 - August 2nd - 7th | Ages 12-15
This camp will include an introduction to "Who's line is it anyway?" style of improvisation, with a focus on quick thinking, give and take, and role playing. Students will work to enhance listening, concentration, teamwork, and creative problem solving through easy to understand, fun improv and theater exercises. They will also learn the fine art of sketch comedy writing. This will be an intense, eductional and fun program requiring the students to write short comic sketches both as group and individual. The sketches will then be workshopped through readings and rehearsals during the week long camp. The final product will be a combination staged reading/performance of the students' sketches performed by the students in the camp.

FILM CAMP
Camp 1: June 14th- 18th Ages 10-13 This camp is full.Camp 2: June 28th- July 2nd Ages 14-17
9:00 am- 3:00 pm
This camp will introduce students to styles and techniques used when acting for the camera. Students will develop an understanding of film both on an off screen. In this camp, students will create an original short film with the assistance of the instructors. They will help write the screen play, operate the camera, direct, act, costume, decorate the set, and much, much more. Through this camp, students will become well-versed in all the elements of film production while maintaining a positive outgoing attitude that will stress the fun that can be had in the film industry.

PRINCESS CAMP

Ages 4-9
Queen for a day?! More like princess for a week! Come have fun with fairytale magic! We'll cover what every princess needs to know from kissing frogs to sleeping on a pea, through stories, puppet play, dress-up, arts & crafts, music and more. Princesses need treats too, that’s where our cookie decorating fit in! Royal Teas and Picnics are Princess favorites. Who can forget our Enchanting Princess fashion show! We'll spend the day polishing little fingers, experimenting with fragrances and light make up and then it’s off to our fashion chest filled with gowns and accessories fit for a queen! Parents, siblings and special guests are invited to join us for the fashion show where we'll share Princess cakes, iced tea and pink lemonade. Don’t forget your camera!

THEATRE PRODUCTION CAMP
July 12th-31stAges 8-15
In this camp actors will learn about all aspects of theatre production. For the first two weeks of camp there will be daily workshops in all aspects of theatre, such as make-up, improv, costumes, choreography and many more. In the afternoons we will be working on a production of Disney's The Jungle Book Kids. The camp will result in two FREE performances on July 30th and 31st at 7:00 pm for friends and family. Tuition: $385.00
